lyrics
Lyrics by Scott Schopler
Music by Joseph Bursey and Nate Stokes
Eruption, chaos upon the line
Endless winter to torment the mind
Savage distain, an eye for an eye, brutally proclaimed
Malmedyian pact, Sworn contemptuous oath of death
Rifles aimed, fog of war and winter remain unchanged
Shredded by bullets, enemy corpses left frozen in the snow
A barrage of violence fills the air
Deafening explosions rip the earth bare
Holding out, stockpiling ammunition, for the next attack
Death toll is rising, men sent screaming to their fate
Blasted shells of buildings, keep the attackers at bay
Taking cover where were able, freezing madness bathed in snow and flame
Awaiting reprisal from the never-ending snow
Once the skies clear, bombs our planes will sow
Under siege, storms swelling in the night
Enemy patrols sweeping street by street
Our plan will lure them into defeat
Take no prisoners, let none live
Hold
Hold
First rank… Fire
Second rank… Fire
Up to our necks in blood and guts
They over surrender, our response is NUTS
Severely outnumbered, we dig our own graves
They have us surrounded with our last breaths we pray
Divine retribution from the steel angels on high
No hope of repentance in fires they die
Bombs asunder ripping through their ranks
Entire divisions destroyed in our wake
Bring down this campaign of madness
Death throws foreshadowing your empires last days
Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
I've gotten myself into GR by first getting their last album, then decided to give this one a go too. Atoms divide, life decays, seems we are into nuclear explosions here, that is how GR feels, a powerful and fast blitz and stormy riffs and groovy hardcorish - thrashy blasts. Highly recommended for all thrash lovers out there. Toxic Holocaust does come in mind, true that, Wraith, Municipal Waste fans should love this ! sachavonkarl74
